(Screen Setting Full and Window in Handy)

This first shot shows you the default video setting. ("Normal Mode Windowed" with "1x Screen Zoom") The Lynx Background is Enabled with the "Select Background Type" set to "Boarder". The second shot is showing you the next size up option (shown above) which is the "2x Screen Zoom". The third and fourth options would give you the next two size's up which are the "3x Screen Zoom" and the "4x Screen Zoom" 4x being the highest it can go.

You can also take The "Lynx Background" option off (shown above) This will then Disable any "Background Type" effects leaving Handy with a VBA Shape and when using the 4x Screen Zoom (Windowed) option, make it much bigger in size.

(Video Settings in Handy)

You might find that the best Video Setting would be to Turn off the "Lynx Background" which will then disable the "Background Type" and change the "1x Screen Zoom" to the "4x Screen Zoom" then change the Normal Mode (Windowed) to the Eagle Mode (Windowed. If you wish to play in Full Screen from Windowed Mode Just press Alt + Enter on you Keyboard to go to Full Screen: and the same to return back to Windowed Mode: or Esc.

Above you can see the difference between Normal and eagle Mode (Windowed) Just Click on both Pictures to see the easily seen changes Eagle makes other Normal.

Background Type's

There are many Quirky features here to do with extra Video Options. Some are Video Quality related, and some are just pure cosmetic Via the use of in-built Skins. These extra settings are really only Cosmetic but you might like using the Pocket Skins they will give you the effect or chance to play like you would see on the real Atari Lynx.

Click on the "Select Background Type" and Select Lynx I: to see that option (Shown Above) the "Screen Zoom" Windowed support settings for Lynx I are:

Like Lynx I, Unless you use a Desktop Resolution  of (1600x1200)  or higher Lynx I Background Type On Normal Mode will be best kept on 1x Screen zoom or it will be too big for your Desktop.

Now Repeat the same as before but this time Select Lynx II: to see that option (Shown Above) the "Screen Zoom" Windowed support settings for Lynx II are:

Like Lynx I, Unless you use a Desktop Resolution  of (1600x1200)  or higher Lynx II Background Type On Normal Mode will also be best kept on 1x Screen zoom or it will be too big for your Desktop. The Boarder Option as you already know Is Handy's Default on first load up. The "Screen Zoom" Windowed support settings for Boarder are:

Unlike Lynx I and Lynx II, this Background Type On Normal Mode can be used on 1x - 3x Screen zoom. There you have it and as they say the choice is yours, have fun if Using "Background Types" or like me just disabling the "Lynx Background". Anyway you choose, I am sure you will have lots of fun with Handy.
