Initial Configuration (Advanced)

OK advanced users..you know the drill.. start the emulator by clicking on the "PSXeven.exe" smiley face, you will be brought to this screen.

A simple click on "Advanced" from the "Config" screen or the big ole "blind if you cannot see" advanced button will take you to your very own configuration screen.

This is where Xeven is keeping his emulator specific options and fixes.

CPU Mode

  • Translator - This is the default mode that PSXeven uses to emulate games. It has good compatibility and speed.
  • Interpretor - This mode does more accurate emulation. Basically better compatibility, but slower speed. Enable as needed.

  • Miscellaneous

  • Show Console - enabled by default. Unchecking this will prevent the "debug" menu (DOS box with info) from showing.

  • Helpful Tip!

** Just in case you missed it, you can obviously select your BIOS from here as well.

A click of a tab, or selecting "Advanced" from the "Config" menu brings you to this window. From this configuration menu you have the ability to select all the plugins you wish to use for Video (GPU), Sound (SPU), Game interface (CDR), and Controllers. Simply select your plugin from the pull down menu, then click "configure" to be brought to the plugin's configuration menu. For further information on plugin configurations check out Plugin Guides.

Once all your plugins and BIOS files are configured simply press the "OK" button to be brought back to the initial screen. From here on you can change the plugin configurations by simply highlighting each option in the "Config" menu.
